During warmer months the Great Barrington Farmer's Market operates every Saturday from 9am-1pm, providing the opportunity to cook family meals made with locally-sourced organic produce without getting in your car!

Guests at River Cottage have access to an easy walk into town via the pedestrian-only Cottage Street Bridge.

You'll need a car to get here and get around the Berkshires, but downtown Great Barrington is just a short walk away! The house has moderate cell service, but the surrounding areas are full of cellular dead zones. We recommend downloading the region's online maps to your device prior to your arrival or any day tripping you do while you’re here.
